11 giugno 2018 – Il quarto giorno è stato quello in cui le Highlands ci hanno sbattuto in faccia tutta la loro selvaggia bellezza. Chilometri e chilometri di macchina (tutti sulla corsia sbagliata) durante i quali si è circondati solo dalla natura, da colline verdi (incredibilmente con pochissimi alberi, avevo anche letto il perchè, ma non me lo ricordo) da laghi e, soprattutto, pecore.
Dentro il nostro Pod la sveglia è suonata prestissimo, perchè eravamo convinti di poter fotografare un’alba bellissima, ma purtroppo attorno a noi erano solo le nuvole (e le pecore) a farla da padrone.
Più tardi siamo ridiscesi verso Inverness, da dove siamo partiti e, percorrendo la costa sud del lago di Ness (senza peraltro mai vedere Nessy) lungo strade strette e ondulate, siamo arrivati a Fort August dove abbiamo mangiato fish and chips e visto le chiuse del Caledonian Canal.
June 11, 2018 – The fourth day was when the Highlands threw all their wild beauty in our faces. Kilometers and kilometers of car (all on the wrong lane) during which you are surrounded only by nature, by green hills (incredibly with very few trees, I had also read why, but I do not remember) by lakes and, above all, sheep.
We woke up very early, convinced that we could photograph a beautiful dawn, but unfortunately it was only the clouds to be the master.
Later we went down again towards Inverness, from where we started and, crossing the south coast of Ness lake (without ever seeing Nessy) along narrow and undulating streets, we arrived at Fort August where we ate fish and chips and saw the locks of the Caledonian Canal.
